Pharmacovigilance jobs — the function regulators trust most.

Every adverse event on every trial gets logged, assessed, and reported — by pharmacovigilance (PV) and drug safety teams. It's the most compliance-critical function in the industry, and it never shrinks. This page lists PV and safety openings from CRO and sponsor career pages, re-checked all day, each with the people who work there. Free, no card.

Every job comes with the people who work there, and a message ready to send them.

What safety people actually do

Triage incoming adverse event reports, assess seriousness and causality, chase follow-up information from sites, write narratives, and submit expedited reports to regulators within strict clock windows. PV roles carry real authority: a safety signal can pause or end a program, so these specialists sit close to the medical team — medical affairs physicians often sit one desk away.

Why PV careers are stable

Safety obligations apply to every trial and every marketed drug, forever. CROs provide safety services to small sponsors, and each country requires a local contact person (the LCPPV roles you'll see on this page). Career paths run associate → specialist → scientist/manager → signal detection and PV leadership. Nurses, pharmacists, and life-science graduates are the standard entries.

Questions

Is pharmacovigilance a good first clinical job? Yes — PV associates learn the medical and regulatory vocabulary of the whole industry, and the ladder is well defined.

Do PV jobs run nights and weekends? Some intake teams do — safety reports arrive on their own clock, and the night-shift roles appear here when they're posted.

Can PV lead to medical affairs? Frequently — PV physicians and senior safety scientists move into medical affairs and vice versa.
