Site contracts & budgets jobs — the paperwork engine of every trial.

Before the first patient is consented, someone has to negotiate the contract, set the budget, and get the site approved. Site contracts specialists, budget managers, and country approval leads do exactly that — and CROs hire them in volume. This page lists those openings from employer career pages, re-checked all day, each with the people who work there. Free, no card.

Every job comes with the people who work there, and a message ready to send them.

What the work involves

Negotiating investigator contracts and site budgets against the sponsor's numbers, running country-level approval packages, tracking payments, and keeping the legal and clinical teams talking. It's detail work with hard deadlines: a site can't open until the paperwork clears, so study start-up timelines live or die on this desk. People who like contracts, spreadsheets, and visible outcomes tend to stay a long time.

Where it leads

Site contracts is a genuine career ladder, not a dead end: specialist to senior to country or regional lead, or sideways into study start-up management and clinical project management. Legal, finance, and procurement people transition in successfully, and the FSP (sponsor-dedicated) seats here are among the most stable in the industry.

Questions

Is site contracts a clinical role? It lives inside clinical operations even when the day-to-day is contracts and budgets — the subject matter is clinical sites, and the deliverable is an open trial site.

Can I get in without clinical background? Yes — contract management, paralegal, and finance backgrounds transfer well. The clinical vocabulary (site, sponsor, IRB, GCP) is learnable in the first months.

Why so many of these jobs exist? Every site on every trial needs a contract and a budget, and trials have dozens of sites across dozens of countries. It's the highest-volume administrative job family in CROs.
